Day 1: Arrival in Antigua
Arrive in Guatemala City and transfer to Antigua. After settling into our accommodations, we'll spend the afternoon getting acquainted with the city’s colorful streets, cafés, and historic architecture. In the evening, we'll gather for a welcome dinner and get to know the group.
Day 2: Exploring Antigua
We'll spend the day experiencing everything that makes Antigua so special. Wander through local markets, visit historic landmarks, enjoy great food, and take in the atmosphere of one of Central America's most charming cities. The evening is yours to relax, explore, or join the group for dinner.
Day 3: Acatenango Hike
After breakfast, we'll begin our trek up Acatenango. The hike takes us through several different landscapes before reaching our campsite high above the clouds. We'll spend the night on the mountain with incredible views of the surrounding volcanoes, including the eruptions of Volcán de Fuego across the valley.
Day 4: Sunrise Summit & Transfer to Lake Atitlán
We'll wake before sunrise for an optional summit hike before descending the mountain. After completing the trek, we'll transfer to Lake Atitlán, where we'll settle into our lakeside accommodations and enjoy a slower evening by the water.
Day 5: Lake Atitlán
Today is all about enjoying the lake. We’ll spend time swimming or relaxing, and take in the incredible scenery that surrounds us. Expect a laid-back day with plenty of opportunities to explore at your own pace.
Day 6: Culture & Local Life
We'll visit some of the villages around the lake, learn more about the local culture, browse artisan markets, enjoy a yoga class and spend another day immersed in the beauty of the region. There will be plenty of free time to grab coffee, shop, or simply enjoy the views.
Day 7: Free Day at the Lake
Our final full day is intentionally flexible. Spend the day paddleboarding, hiking, swimming, exploring nearby towns, or simply relaxing. We'll come together one last time for a farewell dinner and reflect on the week.
Day 8: Departure
